Mark Lenneville- Associate Pastor

Rev. Mark Lenneville is the Associate Pastor at the Kimberling City United Methodist Church.  He is a Minister of the Word and Sacrament, Certified Christian Educator, and Life-time Honorary Presbyterian Woman (very few men receive this honor), with the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Before becoming the Associate Pastor at the Kimberling City United Methodist Church he served as the pastor of the Bull Shoals Presbyterian Church in Bull Shoals, AR, the Faith Presbyterian Church in Raytown, MO, and First Presbyterian Church of Berryville, AR. He was also a consultant for a new church development and the Associate General Presbyter with the Presbytery of Arkansas located in Little Rock, AR. He is also currently serving as a part-time Veteran’s Administration Chaplain in Fayetteville, AR. In his 20+ years in ministry, besides his work in the parish and in executive ministry, he was a hospital chaplain, police chaplain, hospice chaplain and licensed marriage and family therapist.

Before becoming a minister, Mark was a hospital administrator at a medical school and in the US Army. He was also an ROTC instructor and commander. He is a retired Army Chaplain and holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Rev. Mark owns a business besides his current work in ministry. He is the Managing Partner of a firm that helps military physicians find civilian employment once they decide to leave the Active Duty military.

Rev. Mark has 3 Master degrees... a MBA from George Washington University in Washington DC, a Master of Theological Studies from the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, TX, a Master of Divinity from the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX.  He is a 1974 graduate of Texas A&M University and graduated in 1990 from the US Army Command and General Staff College located at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. He has doctoral work in higher education from the University of Arkansas.

Rev. Mark is married to Laura and they have five children and 11 grand children. They have a home in Lampe, MO. He enjoys reading, writing, exercising, watching movies, listening to contemporary Christian music and taking care of his three weimaraner dogs. Most of all he enjoys his grand-kids who live close by.

Rev. Mark believes that the church’s mission to help people to encounter God through relevant, vibrant and Christ-centered worship, pastoral care, educational programs and outreach, all of which, he says,  are present at the Kimberling City United Methodist Church.  Although he has been in the area, on and off, for the past 20 years, he has enjoyed the people and the community of Kimberling City and surrounding areas since becoming the Associate Pastor.
